How Alair’s Innovative and Proven Franchise System is Setting a New Standard for Home Building in Orlando
Franchisees Daniel Kennerly and Jim Krantz are leveraging the brand’s position at the forefront of the home building industry to innovate in the Sunshine State.

When it comes to streamlining the home building, renovating and remodeling processes, there’s one brand that has proven it’s the concept to beat: Alair.

Since its founding in 2007, the brand has been an innovative force in the industry that’s eliminating the problems that independent contracts most frequently face. By giving its franchisees and clients access to its Client Control™ system—which gives homeowners access to real-time information surrounding the progress being made on their custom house or renovation—Alair is adding a level of transparency to the home building process that’s otherwise missing.

That ability to connect with customers in a new way while tapping into a strong competitive advantage is what inspired Daniel Kennerly and Jim Krantz to convert their business into an Alair franchise. After being recommended and contacted by the brand’s corporate team, they realized that they had the potential to expand their reach as business owners and develop the Alair brand across major areas like Orlando, Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Pensacola. And now, with their first jobs already signed under the Alair name, Kennerly says they’re positioned to hit the ground running.

“The more we learned about Alair, the more excited we became about joining the brand’s team. From its back-end product management software that connects every piece of the home building puzzle to its supportive team of contractors who have been in our shoes before, Alair provides us with the tools and resources that we need to take our business to the next level,” said Kennerly. “Now that we have a client portal and a technology system that’s opening the doors of communication between us and our customers, there’s no limit to how far we can grow with the brand in our market.”

In addition to growing their independent contracting business, Kennerly and Krantz are working to help other local industry professionals convert their concepts into Alair franchises. The brand has identified Orlando and its surrounding areas as key development markets because demand for more transparent building services is climbing in the area.

“We’ve done our homework on the Orlando market, and we’re confident that it’s going to be a hotbed of growth for us going forward. Not only are franchisees like Daniel and Jim already experiencing success in the area, our unique system and simple business model have also proven themselves to be successful in similar markets across the country,” said Rob Cecil, chief development officer for Alair. “We’re eager to bring more builders and contractors on board as we continue establishing ourselves in the market. There’s no doubt that it’s an exciting time to be a part of the Alair brand.”

With 85 offices that are currently operating and plans to launch more in the months and years ahead, Kennerly and Krantz are far from the only franchisees experiencing success with the Alair brand. And as more entrepreneurs sign on to join the brand’s rapidly growing team, they’ll be able to capitalize on Alair’s position at the forefront of an increasingly popular industry.

“The construction industry hasn’t experienced a lot of innovation lately. People are used to doing things a certain way, and it takes a lot of effort to convince people to change. That’s why working with Alair is so exciting—they’re bringing something new to the table that’s moving the entire industry forward. Not only are we setting a new standard for home building, we’re doing it in a way that benefits both us and our clients,” said Kennerly. “We couldn’t be happier with our decision to join Alair’s system. We’re sharing ideas with other builders and now have access to a supportive team, which is going to help us improve. There’s no doubt in my mind that our concept is going to take off here in Orlando as we take on more projects and bring more builders on board.”
